One of the rarest Danzig orts.
The coin is found in the trade sporadically, as confirmed by the archives of Polish companies - the last listing is 2004, with this variety being 1999. And these are the only two listings in the archives. In our offer it is listed for the first time.
The penultimate vintage of the Danzig orts of King John Casimir. Minted one year before the issue of orts at this mint was extinguished for years until the reign of Augustus III Sas.
A small issue, as evidenced by the use of stamps from previous years. The present one with a date alteration from 1663 to 1666.
Variety with obverse with the titular IOAN... PR and the reverse with a lion in the shield separating the date.
Very nice state of preservation. Natural art in celadon patina. Well minted, with a slight luster.
Very attractive, especially for this uncommon vintage.
